Awake.org provides hands-on housing navigation and support for individuals facing homelessness or eviction. We go beyond referrals by directly engaging with service providers and ensuring access to real, available resources. Clients receive personalized help with housing, benefits, and connections to critical services like healthcare, jobs, and financial literacy. Our goal isn’t just to get people housed—it’s to help them stay housed and thrive.
🌟 A Major Milestone: Over 40 Lives Changed in Just 60 Days
We are proud to share an incredible achievement!
Despite our lack of grant funding and the upcoming legislative changes — in just 60 days, we have successfully placed or housed over 40 individuals and/or families.
Even more impactful: 60% of those housed came directly through our street outreach program, where our team meets people where they are — on sidewalks, underpasses, and encampments — to offer real solutions and human connection.
Thanks to the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and community partners, these individuals now have safe, stable places to rest, heal, and rebuild their lives. Housing placements have included:
- Shared housing
- Paid permanent housing
- Section 8 placements
- Transitional housing
- Recovery homes
- Recuperative care housing
- Senior housing
- Emergency shelters
- Temporary shelter - hotel/motel stays
This is more than just a number — it's 40+ lives given dignity, hope, and a fresh start.
